My PhD research focused on characterizing sound production by marine animals, particularly on coral reefs. I sought to identify links between the sounds produced in a given habitat and the species assemblages present there - in other words, to use biological sound production as a proxy for animal diversity. More details about my research projects can be found here.

My PhD supervisor was Dr. Aran Mooney.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Knauss Fellowship, my research or the MIT/WHOI Joint Program.
